Our Story
Our founder, Rory O’Doherty, possesses a deep thirst for knowledge and an entrepreneurial spirit that has guided him on a journey across the globe, gathering invaluable insights as he travelled.
Throughout his career, Rory has held leadership positions – from leading the tech portfolio in the venture capital organisation, Enterprise Ireland to building the world’s leading Incubator, Accelerator, and Strategy Consultancy dedicated to HR, Recruitment, and Worktech – Talent Tech Labs. During this time, Rory provided strategic advisory services to prominent recruitment giants such as Randstad and Allegis, while also collaborating with esteemed organisations such as Disney, Bank of America, and McKinsey.
During a transformative journey in Southeast Asia, Rory received a pivotal call from an old industry friend while riding his motorbike in Vietnam. As they shared ideas and discussed the future of talent acquisition, Rory’s purpose became clear. He knew that he finally had the expertise and passion to make a lasting impact on the world of work.
Motivated by this meaningful exchange, Rory returned to his homeland, Ireland, where he founded our beloved company – a trusted partner to recruitment consultants and agencies – known as Squire.
